Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

Account Information

• Email address (via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In)
• Display name / username (chosen by you)
• Profile picture (from Google/Apple or chosen by you)
• Unique Firebase UID

Game Data

• Match history
• Coin balance (virtual currency)
• Game statistics: total matches played, daily streak
• Badges unlocked

User-Generated Media

• Photos taken with the camera during dares
• Videos recorded during dares
• Photos chosen from your gallery

These files are stored on Firebase Storage and are only accessible to the two players in a match. No other user, including DAREO staff, can access them outside of moderation procedures.

Messaging

• Text messages in the chat between two players (unlocked after 3 validated rounds), stored in Firestore

Technical Data

• FCM token (for push notifications)
• Device language (to display FR or EN)
• Online presence status (temporarily stored in Firebase RTDB)

DAREO requests the following device permissions:

All permissions can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your account
• To enable gameplay, match history, and social features
• To send push notifications for match invitations
• To manage your coin balance and in-app purchases
• To enforce our moderation and ban system
• To display the app in your preferred language

4. Third-Party Services

DAREO uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

• Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database (Firestore & RTDB), file storage, push notifications. Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
• RevenueCat — In-app purchase management. Policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
• Google Sign-In — Account authentication. Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
• Apple Sign-In — Account authentication. Policy: apple.com/legal/privacy

No advertising SDKs are used. We do not collect data for advertising purposes. No personal data is sold or rented to third parties.

5. Data Sharing

• Match media (photos/videos) are visible only to the two players involved in the match.
• Chat messages are visible only to the two players in the conversation.
• Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

6. Data Retention

• Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
• Online presence data is temporary and is automatically cleared when you disconnect.
• Upon account deletion, all personal data, media, and messages are permanently erased.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:

• Right of access: obtain a copy of your personal data.
• Right of rectification: correct inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure: request deletion of your data and account.
• Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured format.
• Right to object: object to the processing of your data.

8. Age Restriction

DAREO contains adult content (Chaos mode — explicit truths and dares). The app is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately.

9. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data (profile, media, messages, game history) at any time by contacting us at hello@fibroweb.fr. Upon confirmation, all personal data will be permanently erased from our systems.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. In the event of significant changes, you will be notified via the app or by email. Continued use of DAREO after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
